Candidates are being considered for a postdoctoral research associate position in the laboratory of Dr. Luiz Pessoa. Work in the lab focuses on the interactions between cognitive and emotional/motivational systems using fMRI and behavioral techniques, which are interrogated with increasingly computational and mathematical techniques. Requirements include a PhD in neuroscience or related area; candidates with degrees in engineering, CS, or related area will be considered too. Experience in cognitive neuroscience and neuroimaging and familiarity with neuroimaging analysis platforms are desirable. We are particularly looking for someone with strong computational skills, including experience with Matlab, Python, R, Stan, etc. Strengths in mathematical and statistical knowledge would be a plus. The position offers excellent training in advanced aspects of neuroimaging data analysis, including machine learning/multivariate and graph-theoretic/network techniques.
